Find out how we can help you live in warmer, healthier home with a heating subsidy.

About the Heating Subsidy

The Trust provides funding in the Southland and West Otago area in conjunction with the EECA programme Warmer Kiwi Homes. The subsidised heating programme targets homeowners on low incomes or those living in low socio-economic areas.  EECA administers this funding through local service providers who meet installation and health and safety standards.

Benefits of installing a wood burner or heat pump.

Wood burners are incredibly efficient, providing high heat output that warms up your home instantly. Heat pumps facilitate consistent air movement, reducing the likelihood of stagnant air and contributing to a healthier living environment. They are excellent for people who suffer from asthma and allergies.
